We are a small friendly, self-governing group of people who enjoy writing and storytelling. We meet once a month on the first Wednesday of the month. Each session begins with a 15 minute exercise, such as composing sentences using alliteration, or describing an object using all 5 senses. After this we share our writing (only if willing to) and an informal conversation follows; what we liked about the piece or suggestions for improvement. The discussion is always positive. 

We then chose our next title, randomly picked from members’ suggestions. The piece of writing can take any form and is approximately 300 words. We then select an aid or prompt giving some structural help, such as paragraph cohesion, or use of figurative language.  We are then ready for our next writing adventure.
