Most groups do not meet in August and restart for the new membership year in September. Please check with the Group Leader if you are unsure.

Runnymede U3A has many small study or social groups, the subjects and frequency of which are determined by group members. Most are monthly with breaks for the holidays.

There are also monthly members meetings (except August).

Current subject groups are listed above. Details can occasionally change to accommodate members needs. Click on a highlighted group name to find out more. Some groups involve visits (e.g. to a museum), outings or social activities, such as the Bird-watching group or the three Walking groups.

Group leaders are volunteers. As each group is expected to be self supporting, the group may charge an activity fee (if there are specific expenses, e.g. for materials) There is also currently a £1 charge per meeting for those groups using commercial venues, which is collected at the start of each term. Where refreshments are available there will be a small fee to cover costs.

We encourage members to become involved in hosting, assisting, or leading groups. To find out more about doing this, please contact Joan Nash Groups Co-ordinator by using this link. She will offer advice and support.
